I agree.  And the new for '06 optional 290-something HP V8 and 6 speed auto
is a nice driveline as well.  They re-did the frame too, so it's supposedly
stiffer and quieter than the previous gen.

Actually, I drove next to a new '06 Explorer yesterday. Was still clean, and
had dealer plates on it (test-drive, probably).

It was the dark maroon-red, with the light gold (??) lower panels. IMHO, it
looked damn nice on the road, and the alloy wheels looked pretty sharp,
also.

Looks good for that type of vehicle (not my cuppa tea), and far better than
the Chevy/GMC/Dodge offerings IMHO.
