Yes, that can do it, but I'll bet that it's a very low percentage of cars
that experience this. I thought I had it on a 10-year-old 180K mile car, but
changing the hoses didn't do anything for the situation.
Another thing is that the calipers won't have swollen hoses in tandem. On
one '94 I worked on last year (with 135K miles), the LR hose swelled up, but
the right side was fine.
If both sides act the same, I would not suspect the hoses. The e-brake
cables have been the "usual suspects" for many years no.

Don't forget the possibility of swollen rear brake hoses. That's what caused
mine!
