[Shotimes] :( i think my '93 is dead

You "might" be ok. I once severly overheated my engine
after a motor mount change when I didn't add coolant
back into the system properly. The engine knocked a
little bit and the red oil light was flickering at
idle. Tolerances tend to get tight when the oil
overheats or is not present because it's not
lubricating properly. The rod bearings don't actually
sit on the crank; they sit on the film of oil around
the crank. No oil=noise. Your situation is a little
different because you were actually out of oil whereas
I had cooked my oil.

I'd add oil, make sure the drain plug is tight and let
it cool down. You may also want to make sure the
filter is tight. Check it out in a few hours.

However, changing your rod bearings (even if the noise
isn't present) may not be a bad idea. Hopefully you
won't have to change your engine. :-/

good luck-keep us posted.
