Sorry about your trouble.
Did you take it someplace to have the oil changed? Are you sure they
actually put the required amount of oil back in it, did you check the level
before you left?
I saw the local quickie-lube pull a car out of the bay, check under the
hood, then drive it back around in the bay to put in 5 quarts of oil. Now I
ALWAYS check the oil level whenever I don't do the change myself.
I don't see how replacing an IAB could possibly cause oil loss or vastly
increased oil consumption.
