[Shotimes] tach or speedo?

I too recall 3K @ 80MPH with stock sized tires. but this was before my
speedometer started radically bouncing all over the dial. Now I have no idea
what speed I am going once I get over 35MPH.

Sounds to me that you fixed a problem. I always remember 3k @ 80 mph in
my 92.

Have the tires or anything else changed?

The tach has always read about 2800 at 80mph indicated, in my '90.
Now, the
tach is up to 3000/80 mph. Which of the two is liable to be the
problem, and
what might be the fix? Neither wanders or makes noises. I changed the
CID
awhile ago, and on hindsight, the problem might have started then.
Could
that be causing the tach to read high?
