In order......

I already have two doors that I got for Joseph Van Oss. He keeps figuring out ways
to get them to him, but the ways never work out. One of them is already wrapped in
bubble wrap and styrofoam ($30 per door for materials) to protect the corners. The
other is waiting for a decision. It was about 80 bucks (I think)to ship them by
train, I think. Truck traffic is worse. They were only about 50 bucks for the
pair, on sale the week I got them. Eva would like to get them out of here. Other
than being very bulky they aren't hard to get. You'd have to do a lot of splicing
of wiring on the passenger door ....there is no plug that I could see to unplug all
the wiring (I THINK it was the pax door with no plug) ....on the other hand, my
painter got the right door off the black car to do body work on it, and got it back
on, and I'm sure he didn't cut wires. I'll ask him how that works. Bottom line,
about 80-90 bucks each out the door, minimum. They are complete (with inside panels
and mirrors), but have SLO trim on them....you'd have to remove it and drill
cladding holes. Best thing is to wait until they are on sale again....maybe once
ever 2 or 3 months...I get Emails telling me what is on sale.

They are usually 30 or 35 bucks (maybe just for the shell, I'm not sure*), but once
in a while they are on sale for 20, complete. And, we definitely have plenty of
them. There's no rust on any of them. Gen 2 cars are beginning to appear more and
more at this particular yard....Sacramento has 10 times the cars this one does, but
it's an hour one way to get there.

*I know mirrors are about 20-25 each, and window motors are the same. Plus, they
might charge for the switches and the interior panel. Door lock solenoids are 15.

........................
I've never been into removing or lowering the subframe to swap a rack (Ian mentioned
the sway bars)....I've been thinking about taking this engine apart to get the
heads, and maybe the tranny. They have hoists, but I already tried taking an engine
out thru the top, and that was way too complicated. I can check the book about
removing the rack, but I make no promises about that. (Plus, I'm a little bit older
than I was when Zach was here....at least my feet and ankles are!!) ;-)

.........................
The spoiler on this car is not the original one...it is from a Gen 2, and has the
LED brake light array. I can get it if you want, but it doesn't fit this decklid at
all. It's ugly!!

Let me know.

The next time I can get to it is on Monday, in the early afternoon. The car has
been there for a month, so I don't know how much longer it will be there. I want
the struts...they are Tokikos....not new, naturally, but definitely newer than
Lowrider's, and it still handles OK....those are softer than new (about 185k miles
on them), but still satisfactory, and they are 28 bucks each off this car. They'll
suit me just fine for now...I can spend that money for other things.
