Funny you should mention the indexing.  I've been indexing the front right wheel for years...:)

I'm doing exactly as you suggest using a dial indicator to measure the lateral runout on the hub as well as on the rotors hub-section.

Leigh, George, et al, thanks for your suggestions.  I don't know why I have let this problem slide for so long.  Well, yes I do, but that's another story.
