[Shotimes] who can help me?

My gen1 was always my primary driver for 12 years/156k miles, except for a
few months when I was trying to diagnose what turned out to be "crank
cancer". My 97 is now my primary driver for the past 2.5 years, and is
about to turn 100k miles. I anticipate keeping it for another 2-3 years. I
don't know what I'll do then.
I've been reading all of the threads about reliability of SHO's, used vs.
new cars, pickups, etc. I've owned more cars than average although fewer
than some of you guys. Overall I think I have some "kharma" about me that
makes my cars a little more reliable than average. Some of my cars have had
their trouble spots but I don't label any of them as being unreliable. More
than likely my SHO replacement will be a used car, since that's all that
will be in my budget.
