On the top of the gearbox is a large nut with a threaded rod coming out the top,
with a screwdriver slot in it.  This is the adjustment for the sector shaft, that
the pittman arm fastens to on the bottom side.  You can loosen that nut, and turn
the threaded rod inward a portion of a turn.  Don't turn it tight, just before
tight.  You can get some play out of the gearbox that way.

The Boss is my teacher for tired steering gearboxes with dried out grease inside
them.
