[Shotimes] Eibach springs with stock struts?

Dave and everyone,
Just my brief $0.02 here, but I've been running Gen 2 Moog cargo coils
with KYB GR-2's on my '95 ATX since last January, when myself and a fellow
LSSHOC member completely overhauled the original 137k suspension.
End result was similar to what has been reported by others thus far - a
firmer but more compliant ride in the rear (with or without a load) and a
generally better but more pogo-like ride in the front, especially when
travelling over road bumps and potholes. Like the others here, I believe
that the increased pogo effect was caused by the inability of the GR-2's
to keep up with the more progressive cargo coil spring up front, a
condition which is aggravated by the GR-2's weaker valving
characteristics. Also of note after the 'pension overhaul was that the
car seemed to sit noticeably higher than before, a result I attributed to
the new (uncut) cargo coils.
To remedy to this problem, I plan to a) replace the GR-2's with some
Tokico's I picked up locally, b) modify the existing cargo coils by
cutting a coil or so off of the fronts, and c) mate the Tokico's to the
modified cargo coils and enjoy the benefits of both a lowered stance and
no pogo.
That's what I'm telling myself, anyways. ;)
Adam
