You need the shorting plug that plugs into the head unit where the CD cable
used to connect. You can probably just workup one or more jumpers too, but
you'd have to check the schematics.

Subject: [Shotimes] connector on the back of the CD plaer/removing the
dang thing

I tried to take the CD player out of my car tonight to give to my
fiancee as a gift (hers clicks), and also cos I never use the damned
thing. I took it out just fine, and unplugged the signal connector from
the back of it. wtf! no sound! apparently the sound signal is fed
through the CD unit, because if that connector is unplugged, the sound
cuts off... cuts right back in when I replug it. Which two pins to I
have to short out to get sound without the CD player? There's another
little plug that runs with the signal cable via zip-ties, but the
connector has no pins. What's the purpose of this thing? can it help me
somehow? Please help!

Jason
