www.shotimes.com has a bunch of good info, but there is no substitute for
the factory service manual.
About your clutch, do you have the history on it? It's possible it is
still the original. If so, most likely your TOB (throwout bearing) has
aged to the point you are getting more resistance. I like the ceramic TOB
from shonut performance. My clutch is as perfect as I've ever had.
About the tranny, the 92 may still have the brass synchros. If so, you
probably want to stick to a non-synthetic fluid. In any case, you should
replace the fluid. If you can find someone to install a drain plug,
changing the fluid is easier than an oil change. If for some reason your
tranny has the paper synchros, then Mobil 1 ATF is a very good choice.
You shouldn't have to put any pressure on the synchros to shift. You will
be fighting the blockers and that ain't good. A properly working tranny
can be shifted with your fingertips.
