Gee, I thought I understood you the first time.  I was thinking about  
aluminum bushings, Tokicos and Eibachs ... a country road at night,  raining, those 
fabuloso wipers going full tilt, leaning forward in the seat to  see through 
the windshield better ... a new sewerpipe trench across the road,  filled to 3" 
below grade, not glimpsed till the last second.
 
Lemme tell you, it rattled my components, which were somewhere between  stiff 
and worn out at that moment.  I certainly had to retorque my nuts  
afterwards.  And based on that experience, I would definitely recommend the  "cup" style.
 
But I guess maybe that wasn't what y'all were referring to.
