[Shotimes] What Cause a car to run too lean?

Was it proved that synthetic oil caused your cam lobes to go out? seems
rather like a freak appearance to me... like using plastic windows in future
liners because the Titanic hit an iceberg (they didn't do that)... not that
I'm dissing your judgement, just seems weird to me.

I used synthetic oil in one car that I've owned.  That car lost a few cam
lobes right out of warranty.  I haven't tried synthetic since.
