[Shotimes] What Cause a car to run too lean?

On what basis do you say that?   The 2.3L uses hydraulic lifters.  When I finally got the car to its destination it was very down on power.  Having little choice, I pulled the valve cover off to investigate what had happened.  To my amazement, the rocker arm had come off and was just sitting on the head.  I was able to restore the rocker arm back on the assembly and drive the car around a little more.  Eventually it fell off again, my finances hadn't improved that much, and I  had no recourse other than to replace the camshaft.  It was an underpowered dog and I don 't miss it at all...
