There's a simple solution to Lee's question:  instead of moving the car
body, you just jack it up after setting the subframe down on a wheeled
dolly. Then just pull the dolly with drivetrain out from under the car. Of
course, when I did this I had the luxury of not intending to re-install the
drivetrain back in the car, so I cut out the radiator header panel and other
hardware at the front of the car to reduce the height I had to jack up the
car. But the principal is the same.
