[Shotimes] It's a Sad Milestone

I don't follow V8 SHO as a matter of course, but I did read this one.  I
see a reference to there being about 1000 failures total in the field. 
What is the total population of motors that this number goes against?  On
the flip side, are there any high mileage V8s (200K or higher) that have
not had this failure.
