CV joints on the SHO are pretty much like CV joints on any other car... it
won't be a problem to just change the boot. Just make sure you have the boot
clamp crimper and clamp remover tool. I had to change the entire CV axle
once but that's because I pulled the outer bearings out of their race. boot
replacements are fairly easy; just make sure you grease 'em real good.

Is it possible to replace just the boot on a CV joint or do you pretty much
have to just replace the whole axle?  I know with Miatas you can buy just a
(split) boot kit and not even have to take the CV joint apart but I'm not
sure about SHO's.  My CV joints seem to be fine, other than the one split
boot, so I'd rather not have to replce the whole thing.  FWIW, it's the
outer LH boot on my 92 that's bad.
