Valvoline MaxLife ATX is a fine product, but read the MaxLife bottle
carefully. Make sure that the bottle clearly states that it's the ATX
fluid. Valvoline also makes MaxLife "Transmission Stop Leak". This product
is an additive and not intended to be used as ATX fluid. The bottles of
this product are quite similar to their MaxLife ATX labels. You definitely
don't want to confuse them.

Subject: [Shotimes] Flushing ATX Fluid

Anybody tried doing a fluid flush on a Gen II using the instructions on
v8SHO.com? I'd like to try it on out '95 ATX.

Also, any particular recommendations for ATX fluid on an OEM trans w/80k on
it? Mobil 1 ATF is hard to find but available locally - I recall somebody
saying that Doug Lewis recommends synthetic only for trans' that have been
set up for it, though.

Since it's the wife's car I'm mostly interested in longevity under moderate
driving conditions.

I picked up some Valvoline MaxLife at Walmart this morning just in case...
