1. I know my battery is new.

2. All I know about this light and the regulator is that the first alternator
started doing this (started leaving the low volt light on dimly until 2K or so) at
about 85K miles, and kept doing it through 150K, when I first had both the starter
and alternator rebuilt.  The alternator still did the same thing after it was
reinstalled, then about 75K miles later I installed another one to see if it would
work differently, but it didn't.

So it is just something I live with.  I don't know if the black car does this or
not.  The wagon does not.  None of the other cars do this.
