[Shotimes] FW: Blend Door Actuator Replacement Experience?

Nope. But I had both the linkage actuator rod slip off my 89's blend door,
and the gears inside the motor strip due to being jammed by a pencil that
slid down the defogger outlets. (They should have a screen on there or
something). Different symptoms than yours. But $40 part, and 2-1/2 days
effort to pull the dash out at home. Including the heater core, that made
three different dash pulls, ugh!
