Bruce;
I have some measurements, but they are on-engine.
Used chains / tensioners ( 100k & noisy) versus a brand new Ford Long Block
motor.
Center of cam chain at tensioners (halfway between cam gears) was 3/4 in
higher than at the cam gear on the used motor, and only 1/4 in higher on the
new one.
