Or bungee the hood to the garage door or a garage beam. Yes, getting the
hood out of the way helps a LOT!!

One thing that helps:  Disconnect one end of the hood struts and use a stick

to prop the hood much farther up than usual.  Also lets in more light.

I changed the back plugs on my '94 ATX in about 15 min without removing the
intake or any extra elbows.....it wasn't near as bad as everyone makes it
out to be.
