[Shotimes] Alternator...

Mine never showed a light when it went, either. FWIW, I got mine from
Advance Auto. Online, they offered three alternators, IIRC. I got the
"middle" one (3-year warranty) for around $140.

I can tell you from frist hand experience last week, an alternator for a '93

ATX from advance auto ran $186;  and my dash light never went on either. I 
wonder if mine had to do with a solenoid on the starter shorting out a week 
earlier.
