I just purchased new "sneakers" for my SHO 2 weeks ago.
These are strickly summer tires...I have Blizzaks for winter use.
I don't run any track events, but I'm told that I drive fast (can you 
believe that).
The tires (right now) seem like I made a good choice.
They are also listed in the TireRack survey....AVON Tech M500 (225/55/16)

They're rated highest in the Ultra High Performance category, so I thought 
I'd give them a try.
They are listed as being very quiet .... so far they're right.
At  $107/tire installed....not a bad deal.
