Carl; There is a spec in Helms for rotational torque on the compressor. I would check that. That will tell you if the cmpressor is bad. FWIW when mine self-destructed I didn't need a torque wrench, I could feel the rough & varying resistance with my fingers, almost like sandpaper! Lee
