Very good response.

The last time I had to replace a heater core, it took me all weekend, and it
was not on a Taurus. How bad is it to get to the Taurus heater corer??

  It's leaking out slowly.  The O rings usually are the culprit, followed by
the
  various hoses that deteriorate over time.  It also could have a bad
condenser, in
  front of the radiator, or possibly a bad evaporator, inside the dash.  At
least some
  of these things should have been replaced when they did the overhaul, but
they
  obviously aren't finished.  My Slorider wagon needed ALL the hoses replaced,
as well
  as the evaporator, after the R-134 conversion failed after one year.  At the
same
  time you do the evaporator, if you need to do it, have them do the heater
core, too.
   That wouldn't be under warranty for the a/c problem, but they are only
about 35
  bucks, so buy one and give it to the guy to install while he has the dash
apart.
