I need to double check, but I think a Snell SA 1995 helmet will still be 
good to 2010?  I thought they were good for 15 years. 

Anyone thinking of buying a helmet, try to get the new 2005 SA helmet, 
may be called SAK for combined auto and karting.  By getting the 2005, 
you get five more legal years from your helmet, although Snell 
recommends you replace it every 5 years.  For those that wear it a LOT 
then that might be a very good thing.  For the occastional track event, 
assuming proper storage otherwise, they can go 15 years and still be 
safe IMO.
