Toyota would have bought GM years back when it first came up. They won't
EVER do it (IMHO) as the health care and pension costs are way too great.

Toyota has ads on the TV telling about how they make 1 million cars in the
US. Toyota is going to own GM soon anyhow so the only American car company
left will be Ford.

Yes, good point.  Many foreign car makers build cars in the US.  Even the
plain jane Camry I rented this week wasn't that bad from that respect
(qualty and built in Ohio IIRC).
