I am pretty sure we can get you through, and you won't have to spend
200 clams. Where are you stuck? Quick instructions:
1. Check gaskets and mating surfaces for damage.
2. Set intake on engine Throttle body to right Make sur enothing is
pinched anywhere like a vacuum hose under a runner. I've done it it's
scary noisy if you do!
3. connect bypass hoses under throttle body, 2. Dont forget them
4. Connect crankcase breather under throttle body
5. connect main vacuum port on the back.
6. Reconnect the little vaccum canister for the runners on the back if
you diconnected it. If you took off the electrical connector, put it
back on.
7. Connect the Fuel pressure regulator vac line.
8. connect the vac line on the top front to the vac can.
9. connect IAB connecto (cyl near throttle body)
10. connect trottle position sensor.
11. 12 bolts around the runners 10mm heads. tighten snug with 3/8 ratchet.
12. 12mm headed bolt by throttle body. Usually has a washer.
13. 12mm headed bolt that holds the spark plug wires near the throttle body
14. 2 12mm headed bolts if you removed the surge tank.
15. Rear ground lug, put lug through support brace into manifold and
tighten, attach ground strap, put nut on.
16. put driver side support on, 12mm head bolt. If you can't get the
bottom tightened just ignore it, mine has been loose for 100,000
miles.
17. put 2 front support brackets on. 2 12mm head bolts.
18 reattach throttle cables, depends how you took them off. If they
are on the bracket, then 2 10mm bolts into the throttle body. If you
took them off individually, 2 8mm head bolts into bracket.
19 attach cruise cable, snaps into place by pulling connector back.
20. attach throttle cable, open throttle to WOT and slip the pin in
the hole whil looping the cable around the ring. Makes sense when you
do it.
21. attach DIS connectors. (2)
22. attach intake tube/maf tighten hose clamp at throttle body
23. snap cover into place at filter with 2 cam type clamps.
24. Most important. Look around to make sure you (or I) didn't
forget anything. Make sure all fasteners are accounted for, and all
connectors connected.
25. Start engine, listen for any weird sucking noises. If there are
some try to isolate them and most likey plug in the vacuum line you or
I forgot.
See, it's a 25 step program! It's not too hard, but if you get stuck,
let us know we'll help.
