[Shotimes] Putting my engine back together, what do I need
to remember?

Have you pulled the other engine out yet?
If so that would give you a good idea of the order to do things.
Plus many of the external parts you'll reuse.
I didn't see the fuel rail on your list, that's under the manifold.
And under that is the water crossover pipe, w/ o-rings, with a water pump on
one end and themostat on the other. Plus there are a few brackets around the
timing cover.Upto and including the AC compressor. They could all go on now
or later.
Depending on exactly how you pull the engine out / in, determines how many
external accessories you can leave on when you drop it in. The problem is in
when lining it up with the bellhousing shaft, with the trans in its original
position, you don't really have enough room on the water pump side unless
you strip the engine down to the crank snout, minus the w. pump. The engine
needs to slide some good 3 + inches or more toward the passenger side to
disconnect the clutch from the trans shaft. Intake & exhaust manifolds
really weren't an issue with the rad out. But the dang A/C compressor was.
If I had to do it all over again, I think I would loosen the trans &
subframe, and move the trans over to disconnect it from engine, then pull
the engine straight up with all the water pump side stuff on it.
That requires some planning on how you are gonna drop the subframe with the
engine hanging over your head, and how to move it and/or the trans with the
legs of the cherry picker in the way. Also I couldn't get my thermostat on
while it was on the engine stand anyway.
Good luck
Lee
