have any experience shipping a used fuel tank?  I assume the  UPS boys will 
object if it comes in smelling of gas fumes.  The tank will  be bone dry, of 
course, but will there still be a noticeable smell?  If so,  anything I can do 
about it?"

 
Pack it full of herb before shipping.  They won't notice any  residual gas 
smell then.  ;-)
