[Shotimes] HELP! rear brake pad replacement issues (piston)

The bracket isn't squeezing the line shut, it is the bracket rusting and
that rust migrating through the rubber line to swell it shut.

How do I know? I was one of the first people to report this phenomenon
and I cut open my old brake line to see what was happening.

opening up the bracket might help a little since the rusty part won't be
tight against the metal, but now the line can move and rub against it.

I would NOT mess with that bracket, for a jot that needs done maybe once
every 5 years?
