Understandable Zach, but it depends on where you live. In Wisconsin, where
I live, you would more than likely never get the tank out due to all of the
rust. This way, it can be done over again if needed. It's not like any of
us haven't heard of parts failing for no known reason and then having to
replace them time and again.
It just worked for us to do the floor cutting option.

While I believe that cuttign a hole in the floor is probably quick,
and convenient, I think I will stick to pulling the tank. Best record
for taking a pump out and putting a new one in was on Jim White's
car... about 15 minutes after we had the gas out, I was just finishing
putting the tank back in. Understand though that I have done this
multiple times and had done it about 3 times in that month. I think I
would be slower now because I don't remember the precise tip the tank
one way and then slide it under the subframe connectors routine.
