[Shotimes] gas tank straps

are you worried about them dragging when you have the car towed? If not, I'd just put the bolts back in and leave them attached. FWIW, RCM sells new straps for only about $30 with new bolts if I remember correctly.

Subject: [Shotimes] gas tank straps

I need to remove the gas tank straps from my 91. Does anyone have any
experience with this?

The tank is already out --- in fact the entire fuel system.

I suppose if need be, I could go in there with an abrasive blade and saw the
retaining pin. Just wondered if there might be a more elegant solution.
I'm also thinking about the blacktop driveway under that car --- between
siphoning/removing the tank and all the lube I've used to dismantle that
car, I'm wondering about the wisdom of generating so many sparks in that
area.

Any (useful) advice welcome! Thanks.
