Define "good sized".
IIRC, the better hitches for the SHO are Class II with 3,500 # capacity. For
a highway run, a heavier boat could be towed without an issue.
In the past, I had basic Class I bumper hitches (1,000#) on a Corvette
(chrome-bumper '71) and on an '81 Citation, and used to tow my ~2,000 #
checkmate, as well my buddy's 19' Sea Ray on occasion.

Subject: [Shotimes] Towing with the SHO
I seem to recall someone was towing a fairly good sized boat with a SHO.
Anyone remember who that was and what they were towing? Just for S&G I'm
thinking about taking the Boat down to Auburn and leaving it on the
property we bought. And maybe sliding into Indy with the SHO. So if
anyone recalls let me know.
Dave
