Matt,
Whoa please yourself. I did not put ANY blame on ANY American entity.
Please read my comments again. The track was willing to make the
changes needed, and everything else was up to Michelin (the French) the
FIA and F1 bosses. I thought it appropriate that nobody from the track
or America participated in the ceremony at the end.
Certainly Ferrari and the Jordan and Minardi teams can't be faulted for
going ahead and putting on their own test day, but it was hardly a race.
Michelin can be faulted because this track is NOT something new, and as
one of the Speed Channel announcers put it, American fans across the
country (and around the world) are laughing at a tire company that can't
handle a 6 degree banking that they have known about for 7 years.
I am sure there will be some revelations, but something could have been
done to make it a real race, and I agree, and said so, that it isn't the
fault of the Americans.
