[Shotimes] Air Bag Light, ABS light, code readers,Thexron bleeder--answer one or more!

**My air bag light has been blinking a "5-1" pattern, meaning five short blinks, followed by a one long blink. Is this related to the clockspring or might it be some sort of module/connector behind the glove box?
 
**ABS stays on sporadically--weeks at a time, then it stays off for a bit. No rhyme or reason (damp weather/ recent brake work, etc.)  Any ideas? Bad sensor or perhaps a corroded connection?  I do see evidence of coolant (white residue) on top of the ABS control unit, I just haven't had time to really investigate it all. Looking for some helpful hints!
 
**Any code readers out there that could intrepret what's going on? Dealer wants about $140 to diagnose both. I'd rather invest in a code reader!
 
**Anyone have a Thexron(?) unit to bleed the ABS box? I might be interested in purchasing one--or borrowing one if you are close by!
