Having owned a few bikes in my days. starting with the a 80GS750 moving
up to GSX1100, A DucatiM900 A Suzuki RF900R. a Fatboy and now the
Chopper project. I will say this. Showroom stock for showroom stock. The
"Import" bikes have the advantage power wise. The 'Busa will out run
just about everything on wheels from the moment you roll out of the
dealership with it and for under 12K thats pretty impressive. But alas I
live in the snow belt where the bike gets to see the light of day a
short time of the year and I went Big Cube Big Stretch Lots of rake and
a 300 rear tire.Cost more money to build a Harley or a V Twin chopper.
But then again the resale value is pretty damn good and I'd rather get
to where I'm going in one piece and in style then in a bunch of pieces
humping the gas tank.
Dave
Getting to old to lay down on the tank.
