40 or 50 g's? Sheesh, what the hell kind of bike are you buying? Shit, I
paid 6k for my Sportster (1200 XL). It would take a lot less than 3k to
get well over 100hp to the rear tire.

Ron's point is valid relative to 'pure' performance and the fact that
Harley isn't about that. The Jap sport-bikes are very very fast, handle
extremely well and brake as well as you can on two wheels. I was just
ribbing Ron a bit about the shot at Harley's as dogs. Most may be 'dogs'
by Sprotbike standards, but some of us (like I have with most cars I've
owned) have Harley's that will give some sportbikes a run for their
money in most common venue's..

but that 40 to 50 g's you just spent you could have a 9-10 g jap
bike,run low to mid 9's(still much faster and reliable than a totally
tricked harley)and buy a new shelby cobra when they come out in
06-07.hmmm.....i think we all know what the smart choice is there.
