I need to replace the 3.2 idler pulleys between crank and A/C
(F3DZ-6B217-A) and between the waterpump and alternator (F3DZ-6B217-B).
They are shot on my SHO. Are these pulleys obsolete.
Having just found an exact replacement for the TB idler (Mfgd by JoyKu
for Nissan, Pt# 13077-F556510) I am starting up a dialog with Joyku
again. I also sent an email to fordparts.com asking the question if
they are "really" available. I haven't checked with Ford yet.
I will be picking up the pulleys from my mechanic on Monday and will
take a few pics, take some caliper measurements (for joyku and who ever
wants them) and check for bearing part numbers to cross. In the
meantime are there known replacement bearings for these. I came across
a statement that you can buy Gen3 SHO idler pulleys and swap the
bearings into your pulley and that the Ford part numbers are
E9DZ-6B217-B for the front pulley and E9DZ-6B217-A for the rear. Any
truth to this. Thanks.
