hmm... how about a theory that says a clutch lasts approximately2 sets
of tires... (I know this will elicit a lot of response...)  If you are
primarily a highway driver then you may be getting 40-50,000 miles out
of a set of tires.  If you drive like me you get 12,000 miles or so.

Roughly meaning a SHO driven nicely will get 80-100,000 miles on a
clutch, and one driven by a maniac will get about 25-30,000 miles.

I realize there are a lot of exceptions to this rule, but i think it
may be at least somewhat reasonable.
