[Shotimes] Is the speedo servicable?

If the speedo cable is kinked during the install or if it is run with a bad
cable for a while, the input shaft can be bent by the swirling motion of the
inner cable. It is supposed to spin like a drill, but starts to spin in a
swirling motion like when stirring coffee. This will eventually break the
speedo by allowing the inner ring to contact the outer ring. Momentary
contact between the two causes needle bounce. After letting it go for a
while, it will become well and truly damaged, then you'll get a needle that
will zero between bounces or swing wildly from zero to the speedo's max
reading. In my experience, it's not worth fixing as you can generally find
a cluster or speedo on EBay to replace it.

Even if the two rings don't hit, the speedo will read faster every time they
come close together and slower when they are too far away.

I think I still have a broken speedo or two in the garage that I can take
some photos of.
