announced that they were going to come out with a more powerful one in 2005
that looked better.

I can't comment on the G6 but the GTO just hasn't been received well, even
though it's not a bad package.  Most say the styling is too "generic
Pontiac".  It fell short of it's expected sales goal by around 33% and that
was after rebates and discounts as high as $7-8K.  It also got beat in two
different magazine comparos by the '05 Mustang GT even though the GTO has a
100HP advantage.  Supposedly the '05 GTO is selling better but it's still
far below GMs expectations.  Couple that with the fact that the Zeta
platform (which was to tbe basis of the next gen GTO) has been cancelled,
the future doesn't look too bright.

Have'nt keep up with the reviews, but what's the press
say about the G6 and the GTO? They spent a fortune on
TV adds, although I must say they were pretty good.
