[Shotimes] radio antenna question

Guys

On my 93 SHO, once the power antenna goes up, the antenna motor keeps
operating another 15-30 seconds once it is fully erect. (just waiting for some
smart ass comments : - ) ) Since the antenna stem was replaced by yours truly
almost 10 months ago, it has just started to make this sound. Of course, after
about 30 seconds the motor turns off.

Besides just closing my ears to the sound for a couple of seconds, is there
any fast fixes for this problem
