When I'm home in a couple of days, I can send you the bracket to convert it to a fixed whip antenna.....as God intended!!! ;-)
In case you had not noticed, I hate power antennas, and was very glad that my new '89 and '99 SHOs had fixed antennas!!
I guess that was no help.....but that's my Ultimate Solution"!! Might try disassembling and cleaning it, as it sounds like it's not properly recognizing when it's fully extended.
FWIW, the antenna imbedded in the rear window of my Subie works better than any of the four SHOs I had, which included both fixed and electric antennas. In addition to not being able to design a stereo headunit that gets any kind of AM reception, their factory antennas suck, also!!

Guys
On my 93 SHO, once the power antenna goes up, the antenna motor keeps operating another 15-30 seconds once it is fully erect. (just waiting for some smart ass comments : - ) ) Since the antenna stem was replaced by yours truly almost 10 months ago, it has just started to make this sound. Of course, after about 30 seconds the motor turns off.
Besides just closing my ears to the sound for a couple of seconds, is there any fast fixes for this problem
thanks
