I make sure that at least one person in every local
store knows me. After that, I tend to really only deal
with that one person. And no, I'm not a controlling
jerk, I'm super friendly as I normally am. As it
happens to be, my "hookup" at the local AZ has a 94
ATX SHO for a daily driver and a built Mustang for the
weekend/summer/drag strip. He's also an education
major at the university that I'm attending for
guidance counseling so believe-me-you; he trusts me
and I trust him. A lot of times its about the people,
not the company.
However, I have noticed a trend with Pep Boys. They
seem to hire anybody and don't give a rat's ass about
customer service. I always swear that the last one I
step into will truly be my last but I find myself back
every few months. For the most part, many of them are
rude, don't acknolwedge waiting customers, don't walk
you to an item's location in the aisle, tell you that
they don't know the answer to your question and walk
away, etc. It's a very frustrating experience...
