Don,
Love the offer, but will probably pass. They are your's to get the
last out of. You can always put them on on a nice day and just romp
around town til they are done. I hate throwing out tires with tread
on them.
Mine are about 1/2 -3/4 grooved. Maybe more. I ran them back in
Tulsa and they did well. There are no cords showing in the groove,
but the waer indicator on 2 is pretty much gone. I am hoping to slap
them on either at Indy, or before that at another event and have at
least one last good romp.
They were heat cycled at tirerack, but it probably odes not matter
anymore. I never experienced full tread as I picked them up from
another Auto-xer. They do wear nice and slow... except that annoying
groove. Everything I read said high pressures were good for avoiding
premature grooving. I ran around 45psi hot iirc and got good grip,
and delayed death.
