[Shotimes] radio antenna on vigra??

OK, I know I felt the "love" for power radio antennas the last time I asked a
question about the radio antennas, but I gotta ask another one.

Since I have taken out the old antenna and installed a new antenna, the new
antenna will not go all the way down (9" left exposed) when the radio is shut
off. After turning the radio on and off a couple of times, it seems like it
just wont go down any further. Do I trim off a piece of the antenna cable, or
does this mean I have a piece of antenna stuck in the antenna mechanism??

Thinking that the fixed antenna is looking better all the time!
