Yeah, actually Ford Performance Specialists is right outside of Atlanta; I
forget who runs it but it's basically the best SHO place in the southeast -
they specialize in SHOs and Ford Power Stroke vehicles. Someone else can
give you the info, I'm sure, and they have a website too - just google it.

First I want to say thx to everyone for the replies.
I have learned some new things about my car.

I will be careful next time and perhaps just contact you all first.
You live and learn!

Bottom line the a/c is fixed now and works great.

Even though I felt I was ripped off some what I will just let it go.

I live in South Carolina, about 2.5 hrs from Atlanta and 1.5 hrs from
Charlotte. Anybody know of a good SHO/Ford mechanic?

Thanks again for all your help. I mean that

Al

Hi Al,

The 3.5 hours sounds right. I had to have mine replaced during the
convention last year and that is what they said also. I have to dig back in
the papers and look, but I can let you know exactly what they replaced. I
believe it was the assembly. I had just had the part replaced a month
before where I live.

Is the part you had put in new, used, or rebuilt? My suggestion is to not
go with a used one. Your system may have a leak in it, or maybe cannot
handle the stronger pressure from the replacement? I am guessing here.

I will get back to you on what all was done to mine. It was on my '93 ATX
BTW.
